This bill would create a public policy that would state that students are “expected” to be fully immunized against human papillomavirus (HPV) before admission or advancement to the 8th grade for public and private school.

This public policy would also apply to all students who are 26 years of age or younger before enrollment at all California state public universities and colleges.

If this bill passes, all students beginning in grade 6 and up will receive a letter from the State of CA stating that the HPV Vaccine is “expected” for school enrollment. Most parents will not realize that “expected does not mean required by law.”

This bill is very misleading. First off, the HPV vaccine also known as the Gardisil vaccine has

never been proven to prevent cancer. There is an active lawsuit against the makers of this vaccine due to debilitating side effects. Click here to read more about the lawsuit. https://www.wisnerbaum.com/prescription-drugs/gardasil-lawsuit/ The wording that reads “expected” will lead many

parents as well as college age students to believe that this vaccine is mandatory in order to attend school, when in reality it is not mandatory.

The state of California should not be spending taxpayer money to market Merck’s dangerous HPV vaccine.

The bill also expands insurance coverage for cervical cancer screening and HPV vaccination.
