When the battle for medical freedom reached the lowest lows of my lifetime in 2020, it meant the world to me to read the Great Barrington Declaration, co-authored by Dr. Jay Bhattacharya. Now, a name well-known to those of us who stood against the COVID-era medical tyranny, he was among the few brave scientists who challenged the mainstream COVID response—opposing lockdowns, mandates, and forced vaccinations while advocating for focused protection of the most vulnerable.
Having survived smear campaigns by establishment figures like Anthony Fauci and Francis Collins, who ran the NIH in service of Big Pharma, Dr. Bhattacharya now takes his rightful place in Washington DC. The National Institutes of Health (NIH) is the primary agency of the United States government responsible for biomedical and public health research. What a wonderful turnaround!
Dr. Bhattacharya is now poised to lead the very agency that sought to destroy his reputation. His Senate confirmation hearing last week made it clear that he has the integrity and conviction we need for truth in science. In his testimony, he methodically laid out five key priorities that, under his leadership, will reshape the NIH into an institution that serves the American people, rather than the interests of pharmaceutical giants and the politicians and bureaucrats on their payroll.
1. Addressing the American Chronic Disease Crisis
Dr. Bhattacharya pointed to a harsh reality: American health is in free fall. Even before the pandemic, life expectancy had stagnated, and during the COVID years, it plummeted. Chronic diseases—obesity, diabetes, heart disease, and cancer—have reached epidemic levels, affecting millions of adults and children alike. Yet, the NIH has been more preoccupied with politically driven research and pharmaceutical profiteering than with solving these real health crises.
If confirmed, Dr. Bhattacharya pledges to refocus the NIH on combating chronic diseases with legitimate, gold-standard science and innovation. This means prioritizing research into metabolic health, nutrition, and lifestyle interventions—areas long ignored by the medical-industrial complex in favor of patentable drugs and endless booster shots.
2. Restoring Scientific Integrity: Reproducibility, Replicability, and Generalizability
Science, at its core, relies on reproducibility. If an experiment cannot be repeated with the same results, it is not valid science. Unfortunately, much of modern biomedical research fails this basic test, and the NIH itself has been complicit in supporting fraudulent or misleading studies. A prime example is the recent Alzheimer’s research scandal, which cast doubt on decades of studies and wasted billions in taxpayer dollars.
Dr. Bhattacharya has made it clear that under his leadership, the NIH will confront the crisis of scientific reliability head-on. The days of publishing unverifiable research to prop up Big Pharma’s latest product are numbered. Instead, the NIH will champion transparency, accountability, and rigorous peer review to ensure that taxpayer-funded research actually serves public health.
3. Defending Free Speech and Scientific Dissent
The COVID years exposed a terrifying truth: scientific dissent was crushed by the very institutions that claim to champion free inquiry. Top NIH officials actively conspired to silence researchers like Dr. Bhattacharya, smearing them as “fringe” for simply advocating for rational, evidence-based public health policies.
Dr. Bhattacharya’s stance is a breath of fresh air: he will foster a culture of open debate and free speech within the NIH. No more political purges of scientists who dare to question the status quo. No more censorship of legitimate medical opinions. Instead, the agency will encourage a diversity of perspectives, ensuring that science remains a field of discovery rather than dogma.
4. Funding Bold, Innovative Research Instead of Bureaucratic Nonsense
For years, the NIH has poured billions into politically fashionable projects that yield little real-world benefit. Under Dr. Bhattacharya’s leadership, the agency will shift gears to prioritize groundbreaking biomedical research that actually improves human health.
This means cutting through the bureaucratic red tape and funding ambitious, high-impact projects that have the potential to revolutionize medicine. It means fostering innovation rather than protecting entrenched interests. And it means ensuring that taxpayer dollars are spent on meaningful discoveries rather than self-serving academic echo chambers.
5. Regulating and Ending Dangerous Gain-of-Function Research
Perhaps the most critical point in Dr. Bhattacharya’s agenda is his commitment to preventing the NIH from ever again funding research that could unleash a global catastrophe. Gain-of-function research—where viruses are artificially enhanced to make them more dangerous—was at the heart of the COVID origins debate. Fauci and his NIH cronies funneled money to the Wuhan Institute of Virology for exactly this type of research, a reckless decision that may have contributed to the worst global pandemic in a century.
Dr. Bhattacharya understands the dangers of this research and has vowed to ensure that the NIH never funds projects that could trigger another pandemic. Transparency will be the key, and under his watch, the days of secretive, high-risk viral manipulation will come to an end.
A New Era for Medical Freedom
Dr. Bhattacharya’s nomination signals a turning point in the fight to reclaim science from the grip of corruption and propaganda. The medical freedom movement has long called for accountability, and now, for the first time in years, there is a real opportunity to restore integrity to public health institutions.
Of course, the establishment will not go quietly. The Senate confirmation hearing made clear that Dr. Bhattacharya will face fierce resistance from the entrenched bureaucracy and their media allies. Already, Democrats are pressing him on “minority health initiatives” while corporate interests fret over his potential restrictions on Big Pharma’s stranglehold on research funding.
But one thing is certain: Dr. Bhattacharya is not afraid to fight. His unwavering commitment to medical freedom, scientific integrity, and public health—not corporate profit—makes him the right person to lead the NIH into a new era.
Get Behind Bhattacharya and Pressure the Senate to Confirm his Nomination
Just as we activated to support the confirmation of Robert Kennedy Jr. for Secretary of Health and Human Services, we must make sure Dr. Bhattacharya gets confirmed too. Following last week’s hearing, the Senate HELP committee is scheduled to vote on the nomination of Bhattacharya to serve as NIH director on Thursday, March 13. Contact your senators and demand that they support a leader who will put real science and public health first. Spread the word about his vision. Expose the lies of those who wish to maintain the corrupt status quo.
The battle for medical freedom is far from over, but Bhattacharya’s nomination represents a major victory. If confirmed, he has the potential to dismantle the broken NIH and rebuild it into an institution that serves the people—not the profiteers.
Stay vigilant, stay vocal, and let’s fight for the future of public health!

It took this country too long and too many deaths and injured to start reacting!!!We are all paying a heavy price but I doubt that the country has learned the lesson!!Kudos to the Dr and to his colleagues that fought this corrupt system!!!! PEOPLE NEED TO GO TO PRISON!!!PHARMA IS TOO POWERFUL TO ALLOW THEM TO CONTINUE POISONING US!!!!
Jay is the right man for the job!
He is highly skilled, intelligent, kind and full of integrity.
Our Covid experience has been deep into many injuries beyond our health. Consider the damages to our political activities: election processes were changed unconstitutional ly not by state legislations, but by unelected bureaucrats, inviting fraudsters to undermine our elections. Economicly, businesses closed. Workers lost jobs. Schools closed & children lost education. Many confined to nursing facilities were infected by their caregivers & died without the comfort of family. Health workers were overwhelmed with the conditions of Covid infection. Nothing positive came out of the pandemic except the knowledge that the way it was managed, was not the way it should have been managed. The Great Barrington Declaration was spot on. Never again should real science be surprised by unelected bureaucracy.
