The real information about REAL ID, so you can decide what you want to do.
A few weeks ago, Alix Mayer, Board Chair and President of Free Now Foundation interviewed Twila Brase, the foremost expert on REAL ID for an exclusive live Q&A for our Legal Warriors Club Members. This interview is now being made public and available to you!

What is the REAL ID?
REAL ID is not just a driver license. It federalizes your data under the Department of Homeland Security, which, as we recall, was set up to counter terrorism in the wake of 9/11.
There is a small window of time to return it — sending a strong message to the Department of Homeland Security and to our legislators that we know what it’s for, and we do not want it. Once it becomes digitized — which Twila assures us is in the plans — our digital prison walls will come down.
She predicts a society with social credit scores based on carbon credits. Since States and the DMV were bought off to adopt the REAL ID, and since privileges like travel are being curtailed without it, something is up – if they already had this information and control over us some other way, they would not be pushing so hard for the REAL ID.

Hello Aria,
Thank you for your work.
Technocracy is Alive and Well on Planet Earth. Everyone needs to opt out while we still can.
I see in your “About” statement above that you were a Doula.
I am a MidHusband. My wife has been a Home Birth Midwife for 36 years with approx 2000 babies.
I would like to share with you some ultra short animation videos that I made for FreeNow about2 years ago but I can’t send attachments here. You have my email email so if you want to see let me know.
I’m leaving my wife’s website.
Thanks
Hello David,
Thank you for this lovely note and for sharing your story. I will email you about the videos – thank you in advance! And many blessings to you and your wife. I had my baby at home with a midwife and it was the most powerful experience of my life. It’s not an easy job, at all, but what an amazing gift to witness over 2000 babies coming into this world.
Blessings and Gratitude,
Aria
I just got rid of my Real ID in Hawaii. I was notified that as long as I had a passport, I would be able to travel. That was the only warning I received. Seemed pretty easy. Here’s the scary part. To get a plain old drivers license, they did a facial scan and took fingerprints. They also wanted to know whether I had an advance health care directive even though I was removing my organ donor status. And the whole thing went off like a well oiled machine, fast walking me through the steps, which is very uncommon here in Hawaii where things usually move fairly slowly. The whole operation, including waiting time, was about half an hour! I’m wondering just how separate drivers licenses will be from the REAL ID.
In Florida, you have no choice. The Real ID compliance system is so deeply embedded in the state government, that they even have a website for folks who show up at the FL DMV without the right documents. It’s called GoGetGather.org or .com.
Florida may not have a state sales tax, but it sells it’s citizens data without their knowledge or consent. The FL Dept of Motor Vehicle Safety Division was selling our crash data, with ALL of our personal info still on it, to a private data aggregator in KY that serves the insurance industry. They were making $62 million a year in 2016. The guy I tried to find out about it from at the Division never responded. I got that number from an on-line industry publication. When I moved to NC, I had to escalate the FL DMV side of the paperwork. The FL DMV was demanding I do things that could never physically be done. The NC side is archaic and tried to deactivate my FL Driver’s License. Short of it, I found out that the guy who never responded to my questions about selling my crash data to a private company without my permission – had been promoted to be the head of the entire division. I wrote and faxed a really critical letter to him about what I was going through… and the problem went away. I hope a lot of staff read that letter and saw what an asshole he was… meow
