COVID Shots Back on Schedule for California Children

Wednesday, Newsom signed into law AB144. This new law freezes the CDC’s Recommended Vaccine Schedule for Children to what it was on January 1, 2025, but only for California. That means COVID shots are back on the children’s schedule, but they are only California-recommended, not CDC-recommended.

This does not mean that COVID shots are required for school attendance in California. That could change, as AB144 gives full power to the California Department of Public Health to add vaccines or doses to the vaccine schedule.

The new California standard of vaccination creates an increasingly confusing vaccination situation. It appears California has also miscalculated the significant budget effects of this vaccine power grab. Next week, we will publish a full article on what all this means for California’s families.

Right now, it is urgent that ACIP Director, Martin Kulldorff announce that a CDC official presented bogus VAERS data on COVID shots, and that the analysis will be re-done and peer-reviewed.

The analysis is so bogus, in fact, that it infers magical qualities onto COVID shots. In the June ACIP meeting, COVID shots were presented as 90% protective against all cause mortality! I wrote an urgent article breaking it all down, below.

A Magical Vaccine: ACIP Must Correct the Record on COVID Shot VAERS Analysis, TODAY

It was presented by CDC’s Dr. Sarah Meyer at the June 2025 Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices meeting.

Her VAERS analysis shows COVID shots confer 90% protection from all-cause mortality. I’m not making this up.

If these data are used to justify more COVID shots or to support the mRNA vaccine platform more generally, we are in trouble. That’s why I’m publishing this before tomorrow’s ACIP meeting when they will discuss COVID shots again.

I’ve made it easy to visualize Dr. Meyer’s Magical COVID Shot claim by marking up her slide in orange.

Below, look at the Expected Death Rate Line, then look at my orange dashed line below. The orange line is Dr. Meyer’s claim.

Note that the scale on the left uses an index of 1 to represent the expected death rate. My orange dashed line (which I eyeballed & drew by hand) hits at roughly 0.1, or 10%. That means she is saying COVID shots are roughly 90% protective versus expected death rates.

Now note the labels below the blue bars. Those are how she categorized the death reports from VAERS.

The categories include everything COVID shots are known to cause, not cure. Her categories show COVID shots are protective from: heart disease, COVID-19, cerebrovascular disease (stroke), malignant neoplasm (cancer), and “general signs and symptoms.”

In reality, heart disease, stroke and cancer should appear as black box warnings on every single COVID shot.

Yet, Dr. Meyer’s VAERS analysis somehow shows COVID shots are 90% protective against almost any health condition!?

I’ll take this a little deeper, and show it to you visually. Let’s look at Dr. Meyer’s Magic Green Line of Protection generated by her 90% claim. I calculated it just for her.

If Dr. Meyer’s data were correct, we would have seen a massive decline in annual deaths starting in 2021. If those who got at least one COVID shot (80% of people) were 90% less likely to die from heart disease, stroke, cancer, COVID and “general signs and symptoms,” then all other datasets from around the world — which show the exact opposite effect — must be incorrect, and the COVID shot is indeed a magic injection.

I wanted to visualize this, so I made some simple calculations and created a handy chart showing U.S. death trends since 2010. Then, starting in 2021, I calculated the Magic COVID Shot effect, assuming Dr. Meyer’s VAERS analysis were correct. That’s how I got the Magic Green Line of Protection.

Since annual U.S. death rates are largely stable, and growing an average of 2% per year, it’s easy to project a trend line of what deaths would have been without COVID. The blue line in the chart below represents actual deaths from CDC’s National Vital Statistics Reports, and the orange line represents a world without COVID, with an expected 2% increase in deaths.

Now look at the Magic Green Line of Protection on the bottom of the chart. Instead of 3 million annual deaths, I calculate that Dr. Meyer’s Magic COVID Shot would have taken the overall death rate down to 1.5 million in 2021 and 1 million deaths in 2024.

WOW. That’s the Magical COVID Shot effect based on Dr. Meyer’s VAERS analysis! That sounds like the most amazing vaccine ever invented.

Except her analysis is totally flawed. And intentionally so, if you ask me.

How did Dr. Sarah Meyer create her Magical COVD Shot fantasy?

Intentional Data Manipulation

1. No Adjustment for Well-Known Under-reporting Factor. VAERS is a surveillance system, not a database that captures every single vaccine adverse event. There is a well-known under-reporting factor (URF), that she knowingly ignored. Per the Lazarus study from 2010, there is a URF of 7.7 to 100 for serious adverse events. Steve Kirsch estimates a URF of 58 for COVID shot deaths, based on the Retsef Levi-Ladapo Florida study. Yes, it’s all over the map, but no one takes VAERS reports at face value, except Dr. Meyer.
2. 42-Day Window. She cut off any reports occurring more than 42 days after vaccination. We know that cancers and cardiovascular conditions can develop over time, with risk extending at least 6 months, and probably for many years. The risk of latent deadly conditions extends far beyond her 42 day cut off period.
3. VAERS Reports Never Updated for Later Death. Any reports initially entered into VAERS as mild or serious, that later led to death, are never updated in VAERS to indicate that the person died. VAERS only captures less than 1% of temporally associated adverse events after a vaccine.
4. Healthy User Bias. The healthiest people were the least likely to get a COVID shot. Here’s how Steve Kirsch puts it: “HVE, the healthy vaccinee effect, depresses deaths for 21 days after you get your shot. This is because they don’t vaccinate people who are going to die (and 75% of deaths are predictable). So half the observation window is comprised of people who are far less likely to die.” Steve says this took the death counts down by 25%.

Who is Sarah Meyer, MD, MPH?

Dr. Sarah Meyer is a career public health official at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), with more than 14 years at the CDC. She serves as the Chief Medical Officer of the Immunization Services Division within the National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases (NCIRD).

Prior to her VAERS safety presentation, her career primarily centered on vaccines for bacteria, not viruses, and she advocated for increased vaccine coverage. She appears to have little experience presenting safety data, with the exception of one presentation on a monoclonal antibody injection for RSV.

Given her background, I don’t know why she was chosen as a safety expert, a COVID shot expert, a viral injection expert, and a VAERS analysis expert for the June 2025 meeting.

She did the same type of magical analysis with the Vaccine Safety Datalink (VSD) data for COVID shots and showed the same protective effect of the shots. Since the publicare barred from accessing the public VSD database, it is impossible as an outsider to assess how she pulled that off.

I do think what she presented is an intentional misrepresentation of the data. At a minimum, she needs to be investigated.

Need a Statement from ACIP Chair Martin Kulldorff

ACIP Chairman Martin Kulldorff needs to make a public statement about Dr. Meyer’s VAERS and VSD analyses. He needs to:

1. Acknowledge that the VAERS and VSD safety analyses were not accurate
2. Affirm that no COVID shot policy will be based on those analyses
3. Announce that CDC will do a sincere, outside peer-reviewed analysis of both databases to set the record straight, and present those to the public at the next ACIP meeting
4. Commit to investigating Dr. Meyer and her team. Recommend firing all of them.
